Walks and Trails
Sometimes you just can’t wait to breathe in the clear mountain air and absorb the vast panorama high in the sky. There are many short and long walks in the High Country, from a few hundred metres off the track to a high country hut or an overnight hike. A short drive from our park is Harrietville a great place to start some of the walks up to the High Country.
Only a short driveway your adventures await! Make sure you explore one of these walks and mountains when you stay.
Bright – Canyon Walk and Cherry Walk walks along the magnificent Ovens River are family friendly and are nothing short of spectacular.
Harrietville – has a number of wonderful walks which take you along the Ovens River, through historic Chinese gold diggings or along the lower spurs of Mt Feathertop.
Mt Hotham – Skiing in Winter and bushwalking in the Summer, Autumn and Spring.
Mt Buffalo – Eurobin Falls, Mt Buffalo Chalet, The Horn Lookout, tobogganing in Winter
Falls Creek – Skiing in Winter and bushwalking the rest of the year
Mt Feathertop – Walk the Razorback – the ridge between Mt Hotham and Mt Feathertop
Dinner Plain – Cross Country Skiing, Husky sled tours and tobogganing in Winter
